Chris Antonopoulos

Chris is a Certified Public Accountant and member of ACCA. He specializes in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and has significant experience in large-scale consulting projects for international groups and banks, including valuations, IFRS implementation projects, due diligence assignments, mergers, acquisitions and internal spin-offs, as well as in internal audit.

He graduated from the Athens University of Economics and Business and then obtained his Masters in International Accountancy and Consultancy from the University of Reading with distinction. He completed the curriculum of the Greek Institute of Education for Certified Public Accountants with the highest grade nationwide and subsequently, he obtained the title of Certified Public Accountant.

He worked for 13 years in one of the Big 4, half of which in the New York office. He has led and participated in large-scale assurance and accounting advisory projects. Chris has experience and deep specialization in the following sectors: Banking, Industrial, Oil and Gas, Gold Mining, Telecommunications, Technology (start-ups) and Holding Companies, with operations in Europe, Asia, USA and Canada. Further, he offered consulting services for the largest IPO in Asia for 2019.

More specifically, he has provided advisory work to many cross-border purchase and sale agreements in various sectors, such as energy, technology, and consumer products, and has participated in several valuation and technical accounting projects for large groups prior to a major transaction or during the preparations for their listing on international stock markets.
